I'd like to know exactly which browsers support client-side image maps, and which ones support server-side image maps.

 
All browsers that display graphics support server-side image maps. All versions of Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer with version numbers 2.0 or higher also support client-side image maps. Any other Web browser produced after 1995 probably supports client-side image maps, too.
