The
LoneStar Guppy Hatchery offers three different lines of award-winning
HB pastels. Each of these lines is similar to the others and they all
win at the shows. They all show pure white finnage of exceptional size
against dark HB bodies, and the females of each line are all exceptionally
large. The only virtue of one line over the other might lie in the need
for a cross. Make sure you record which line your first HB Pastels come
from, so if you later want a crossing stock, you can get exactly what
you're after. Unfortunately, we have to agree with other breeders about
this strain. Although they are exceptionally beautiful and constant show
winners, they are neither as prolific as other color strains nor as easy
to raise. We cannot recommend this strain to novice breeders.
