If you no longer want to use America Online  DIRECTLY , you can go to AOL Keyword Billing and choose the $9.95 Bring Your Own Access (BYOA) option.

IMPORTANT: Once you select the BYOA billing plan,  AOL may charge you HOURLY if you connect the old way, once BYOA has taken effect. The change to BYOA is NOT instant but begins at your next billing period. Call the AOL help line after selecting the BYOA plan and let them clarify EXACTLY when you can start to use it without penalty.
