City of Midland Officials

The City of Midland, Texas is organized as a Home Rule city using a Council-Manager
form of government. In a Council-Manager government, the Mayor and City Council are elected
to give policy guidance to City officials. All other City officers, such as the City Manager
and his staff, are appointed.

Each elected office listed includes information regarding the year the incumbent's term ends.
City officials are elected in nonpartisan elections.

The City Council (685-7204) meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall, 300 N. Lorraine, on the first floor. Council Briefing Sessions are held at 8:00 a.m. that day, at the same location. Both meetings are open to the public.
