M'lady
This one was being carved when my wife and I first met.
She "adopted" it by telling me it was her's and started refering to it as
"her lady". Hence, the name of the piece. It may be hard to tell, but the two types of
wood in the carving are actually one and the same. It's Milo wood out of Hawaii.
The sapwood of this tree is anywhere from white to a light pink, and the heartwood is
almost black. It's another one of those pieces that suggested itself to me.
It's about 8" in diameter and is finished in tung oil.
