WINDOWS 98 FACT SHEET
Win98 will certainly be the operating system of choice in the near future, but right NOW you are much better off staying with win 95 for a while for one BIG reason. Microsoft is well known for releasing software and operating systems before all the bugs are worked out and relying on the consumer to troubleshoot and report problems for them.
We agree that the best place to test new software is in actual use, but Microsoft has frequently turned all of us unsuspecting consumers into unpaid Beta testers. Other software manufacturers are no better than microsoft in that regard, so don't go sending a million complaint Emails to Bill Gates. He will not answer them anyway as they will almost certainly be read only by a clerk or two and forwarded to some marketing division destined to be handled by the delete key.
Here at Caprok Internet, our sole objective is to make sure our customers are fully informed so that they may get the best possible use of their computers and the Internet. We do not bow to Microsoft or Netscape or any other manufacturer whose only objective is to sell their products and that seem to have little concern about the best interests of our subscribers
Just like a first year model car, Win 98 needs time to be wrung out a little before it can be trusted to run reliably on your machine..Lock ups, software problems, device glitches etc..will be your reward for using Windows 98 before it is ready. Win 98 at this time is just NOT ready. Use it at your own risk unless you just love solving sometimes unsolvable problems and live for re-installing crashed operating systems.
